I'm not posting much about gaming these days (too busy doing it!), so here's a little meme-age that I picked up from various people on my flist.
When you see this, quote Oscar Wilde:
One's real life is often the life that one does not lead.
***
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.
When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you. My money is on mortified...

I remember

Re: I remember
Date: 2005-11-02 08:41 pm (UTC)As for the Wilde choice... since this is my gaming blog, I thought it was a quote that applied best to gaming.
I miss the old Vampyres gang. I need to find time for the next Vampfest, if there is one.

Date: 2005-11-02 08:40 pm (UTC)As for a memory of you and I, I'll have to say it was at Origins this year during the Living Death battle interactive and we were facing a number of vampires and quite worried about our survival. The expression on your face was priceless when I said that poor Lady Cora Baker, 78 year old Detective and Medium, would "charge the vampire and attempt to grapple him, hoping my companions will take the opportunity to lay about with various and sundry sharp or pointy things."
Your expresssion was even more incredulous when the dear lady actually won the grapple and her companions DID move in and dispatch the ne'er-do-well, saving the day... and confounding your expectations, I imagine.
Luckily, I get to play LD this upcoming weekend at WIGE - Atlanta, where I am quite sure she will do something heroic and unexpected, as she oftimes does. :-)

Date: 2005-11-02 09:13 pm (UTC)Of course, I knew about you before I'd even come to the States, through the "Ravenscar Nights" site, and I remember feeling incredibly honoured that you wanted to game with me. Your obvious enjoyment gave me a real shot of confidence in my ability to tell a story when I really needed it.
Of course the best one has to be finally getting to meet you at GenCon, when we'd been good friends for years. You're as sweet in real life as you are online, sunshine :-)
